Nanopore Insulation Now Offering UK’s First RIBA Accredited CPD on Vacuum Insulation
Whether manufacturing a new product or retro-fitting an existing unit, NanoPore Insulation's VIPs offer energy savings in wall thicknesses never before possible. At a U-value of 0.142w/m²/k specification it would take approximately 175mm of traditional insulation wall thickness to equal the VIP's 25mm thermal efficiency.
Some of the many benefits of using Nanopore VIPs are as follows:
Reduced energy consumption
Reduced weight
Shorter compressor runtimes
Better temperature distribution
Smaller unit "foot print"
Faster pulldown
The typical wall thickness of a residential refrigerator is 50 mm (2"). The graph above illustrates the effect on thermal conductivity (U) by adding varying thicknesses of VIPs. A 25 mm (1") VIP reduces the heat gain by a
factor of 4.
